Too self important (even for Corgan standards)
At 3+ hours, the show was indeed a bit bloated, even for Billy Corgan standards. The band still sounded good, despite a few hiccups. Without the awful Bowie and Zeppelin covers, it could have been smoother. Putting 3 mid to slow tempo songs, each over 8 minutes long, back to back was a strategic move for a bathroom break. Editing out any trace of D’Arcy from the performance was done with poor taste and pettiness. Overall, it was a decent yet extremely self-indulgent show. They definitely sounded better than they did in ‘97, but the setlist could have used some trimming. Billy Corgan's appearance still resembles someone who shops at Hot Topic.
